The Story
Traivelling – we train travel the world! – is the very first consistently climate-friendly train-travel agency. The start-up plans and books ticket packages for travel in Europe and to the farthest corners of the earth. Thanks to their country- and ticket-specific know-how they enable international bookings, which are international bridge-buildings that no other travel agency in Central Europe has yet offered for economy class rail travel.
As an official distribution partner of the Austrian and German Railways (ÖBB, DB), Traivelling provides affordable, reliable services and easy travelling throughout Europe. For train trips as far as Hanoi, Bangkok (train+bus) or Tokyo (train+ferry) the necessary tickets are purchased through partners in several countries worldwide. The customer receives the tickets transferred or deposited along the way.
Based on a fair calculation of true ticket costs and a transparent brokerage fee, Traivelling offers favourable prices and therefore a true alternative to the airplane.
Success Factor | Hero Moment
Traivelling has built up unique forward-looking know-how for the mobility transformation. Within their first few months already more than 100 journeys as far as Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, Portugal, Ireland and Norway were booked. This “prove of concept” was the first major step and a hero moment every single time because most customers would have otherwise taken the airplane.
