The Story

A BIGBAG is a flexible bulk material container made of stable plastic fabric with a capacity of 1000 to 1500 liters. Thousands of high-quality and undamaged BIGBAGs end up in the garbage every day because they are disposed of after just one use. The strict hygiene regulations when handling food and medicines make this waste of resources appear unavoidable. But in most cases this is completely unnecessary. The SB Group cleans BIGBAGs in specially developed large-scale washing systems and makes them reusable without risk for the transport of food and medicines. Only impeccably clean, hygienically pure and non-hazardous BIGBAGs leave the laundry. All based on the ISO 9001:2015 standards, the International Food Standard, the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety and the HACCP concept based on the Codex Alimentarius. A single BIGBAG consists of approx. 3.5 kilograms of high quality and very durable polypropylene. By washing and reusing the BIGBAGs, a gigantic amount of plastic waste is avoided.

Success Factor | Hero Moment

Achieving a washing volume of 25000 BIGBAG per month and savings potential of 87t of plastic waste per year by washing the BIGBAGs was a big success for BIGBAG Waschen.
